Move aside Starbucks PSL; a new fall drink is in town, the Spiced Pumpkin Pasadena Martini.
Move aside Starbucks PSL; a new fall drink is in town, the Spiced Pumpkin Pasadena Martini. While the original PSL has a special place in our autumnal hearts, sometimes it’s good to switch it up. From Hotel Dena’s Agent’s Only, a bar and lounge located in the Hotel Dena in Pasadena, California, they’ve whipped up a recipe celebrating the much loved fall-favored flavor of pumpkin but shakes things up by adding premium vodka.
The martini is quite simple to make; it only contains three ingredients. First is a high-premium vodka offering a smooth and clean taste. Second, a coffee concentrate made with high-quality Arabica coffee beans provides a smooth and rich flavor. Lastly, a pumpkin syrup that delivers that warm and cozy taste that we tie closely to the autumn season.
Unlike other pumpkin based drinks this one is on the thinner side because it doesn’t include thick ingredients like pumpkin puree or creamers. For additional pumpkin flavor, replace the nutmeg for garnishing with pumpkin spice.
Step-by-Step
- Fill cocktail shaker halfway with ice and gather a measuring glass and martini glass.
- Measure the vodka, cold brew concentrate and spiced pumpkin syrup
- Add the measured ingredients to the cocktail shaker.
- Shake vigorously for at least 30 seconds
- Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
- Garnish: Fresh grated nutmeg, candied orange on a stainless steel skull cocktail pick
