The fiery and flavorful cocktail perfectly balances sweet, sour, and spicy notes. Legendary London bartender Danny Smith created the cocktail in the mid-2000s, and can be ordered at Casa Salles in Tequila, Mexico.

2 oz El Tequileño Reposado
2 small Red Chili Peppers
1 Bar Spoon Sugar Syrup
1 oz Unfiltered Apple Cider
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
0.5 oz Green Apple Liqueur

Instructions

  1. Begin by slicing a small red chili pepper and muddle it in the base of a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add 2 oz of El Tequileño Reposado tequila, 1 bar spoon of sugar syrup, 1 oz unfiltered apple cider, 1 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz green apple liqueur into the shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker with cubed ice and shake it vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
  4. Fine strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail coupe glass.
  5. Finally, garnish the cocktail with another small red chili pepper.
