This complex and sweet – but not too sweet – cocktail pairs perfectly with the comforting foods of the colder months.
This delicious drink is a modern twist on the classic Gimlet, featuring the bold flavors of gin and lime juice, balanced perfectly with the natural sweetness of honey.
But don’t be fooled by the simplicity of the ingredients – this cocktail is anything but basic! The honey adds a rich depth of flavor that elevates the drink to a whole new level of complexity, while still maintaining a perfect balance of sweet and sour.
To make the Honey Gimlet, simply combine 1 1/2 oz. of gin, 1/2 oz. of lime juice, and 1/2 oz. of honey in a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a strip of orange peel (easily made with a vegetable peeler) and a Maraschino cherry, and voila! You’ve got yourself a perfectly balanced, deliciously complex cocktail that’s sure to impress.
