Move over, milkshakes – the Guinness Irish Whiskey Float is about to become your new guilty pleasure.
This simple and straightforward drink combines the flavors of stout, whiskey, and ice cream to create a sweet and bitter taste experience. The creamy texture of the ice cream perfectly complements the distinct flavor of Guinness stout beer, which is slightly bitter. Meanwhile the Jameson Irish Whiskey adds a boozy kick, balancing out the sweetness of Bailey’s Irish Cream. When all flavors are combined, they create a harmonious blend that is indulgent much like a milkshake but with a boozy punch.
Executive Chef Cedric Tovar of the Gold Room at the legendary Lotte New York Palace is behind this recipe. He generously poursĀ Guinness over three heaping scoops of Bailey’s Irish Cream ice cream, with a dash of Jameson Irish Whiskey, the result is a sweet, bitter, and boozy treat that you won’t be able to resist.
